1.   Long Course Registrations are due,   remember, if you are a resident in the Orange School System and practicing at Orange,  your registration is with Orange Community Education and Recreation  (forms at Orange pool).    All others must register directly with USC ( forms on website, www.universityswimclub.com)
 
2.   Swim Team Banquet information and registration on the website,   you can pay by check or register through "direct athletics" and draw down on your escrow account
 
3.  Practice at US-Shaker pool canceled for Friday, April, 4th,  Coach Pete headed to Columbus for the Toyota Grand Prix
 
4.   USC is the only Cleveland team sending swimmers to the Toyota Grand Prix meet this weekend in Columbus.  USC swimmers attending are Katie Haller, Samantha Nameth and Tommy Inwoood.   This meet has become the biggest meet prior to Olympic Trials.    Michael Phelps,  Peter Vanderkaay, Eric Vendt,  Gary Hall Jr.,  Neil Walker, Brenden Hansen Arron Piersol, Ian Crocker, Kaitlin Sandeno,  Katie Hoff, and Kate Ziegler are schedule to swim along with many other US and International Olympians.    You can follow the results for our swimmers at the meet website, www.recsports.osu.edu/aquatics.events.asp.   If you wish to see some to the greatest swimmers in the world this weekend,  tickets are available online from the above site.
 
4.   This all comes down to the "Path to the Podium" is USA Swimming.   The top awards in country club and recreation teams are the USA swimmers, the same for the Suburban League.   Middle School swimmers and HS your dual meets are dominated by the year round USA swimmers,  same for our successful college swimmers.   The State meet is totally dominated by the swimmers from established year round USA programs.   If your sport is swimming,   you must follow the path.    The USC Nation is the path, you just need to make the choice!
